technical textiles

“Technical textiles" are a sub-group of textile materials, which are mainly characterized by their functional properties. Often they aren´t visible but have become an integral part of everyday life. Therefore, they are distinguished from clothing or home textiles (carpets, upholstery fabrics, etc.), which primarily fulfil aesthetic or decorative aspects.

Main application areas are filtration, acoustic insulation systems, hygiene, automotive, medicine and environmental technology. All these areas of application have grown strongly in recent years and are very likely to continue to do so in the future because they serve social megatrends (health, comfort, safety and environmental protection).
